Asus’ U30Jc A1 notebook that has Optimus Nvidia graphics and Intel Core CPU i3. The choice of a laptop is full of compromises. Small and portable or large and powerful? Cheap and tacky or spendy and smooth? Anemic battery miser, or brutal battery eater? Asus promises to the midfield in all of the above with the U30Jc. It is one of the first notebooks from Asus on Nvidia’s Optimus technology for automatic switching between integrated Intel graphics to save battery power, and discrete Nvidia graphics save for electricity. Neither too big or too small, too expensive or too thin, too strong or too weak, Asus has what may be coming one of the most practical and least objectionable laptops through our doors, and carved a great value to boot.
Asus’ marketing for the U30Jc effort, it is in the popular thin-and-light class shoe horn, but in truth the U30Jc packs a lot more muscle than the stripped down competitors and bears part of the mass show.
